Double Happiness Health

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) focuses on promoting health, preventing illness, and treating health challenges through natural alternatives that compliment or substitute for western medicine treatments. Developed over 2000 years ago and studied extensively since the 1970s by Western scientists, TCM is a proven means of diagnosis and treatment.

Double Happiness Health uses the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practices of acupuncture and herbal medicine, combined with TCM principles applied to therapeutic massage and patient education to deliver health care. Double Happiness Health differs from many clinics applying TCM by measuring treatment effectiveness in each of four symptom categories.

Patients are evaluated and treated in relation to a system of energy, called Qi (pronounced “chee”) flowing throughout the body in specific pathways called meridians. Irregular Qi flow results in imbalances often leading to disease, disharmony, and pain. When Qi flow is restored, the healing process begins. The clinically researched treatment protocols used are safe, with little or no side effects.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Christine for several years using acupuncture for more immediate issues such as pain, and Chinese herbal formulas that she customizes for long term improvements in my health and overall well-being. She listens well and we have made progress on all of my problems, particularly digestive, hormonal balance and energy level. PLUS! She is capable of miracles! I came in one day with a migraine headache, something that usually means 12 hours of intense pain, and she took it completely away in 10 minutes with acupuncture. Thanks, Christine!”
