Andrea Shafir brings over 30 years of experience providing care to patients and their families. Advanced training in TCM, women’s health, integrative medicine and integral counseling serves as a wellspring of inspiration and insight that inform every session. Her warm and engaging presence invites patients to relax into the oasis of healing, and allow all parts of themselves to show up with ease and comfort.
When our bodies need attention, they communicate this to us via symptoms. These messages have clues embedded in them that direct our attention to where and what needs care, revitalization or movement the most. Andrea’s gentle hands have been listening to the unique energetic patterns and needs of individuals for decades; however, the most important information about you comes from you! How do you move through the world? What’s most important to you? What are your deeply held values? Where might you feel stuck or deficient or overwhelmed? Where do you want to go next?
Past training and education includes California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS), Bastyr University of Naturopathic Medicine, UCSF’s Langley Porter Institute, and the Upledger Institute.
As a lifelong student, Andrea continues to study with contemporary masters of healing around the world, and now serves as teacher, mentor and guide for emerging clinicians in her faculty role at the American College of Traditional Medicine (ACTCM).
Andrea invites people of all genders, identities and orientations, including folx in non-traditional and/or poly partnerships, to come for care to nourish themselves, their families and their relationships, and by extension their communities.
