Christine Friel

Christine Friel founded Double Happiness Health in 2005. She has practiced acupuncture since 2003 and has Traditional Chinese Medicine specialties in Oriental reproductive medicine, orthopedics and functional medicine.

Christine practices root cause medicine. Using the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine and modern functional medicine lab results, she will help get to the root of your health issue.  She uses acupuncture, high-quality botanicals, nutritional counseling, and manual therapy techniques– to tailor a customized approach to each patient. With a focus on women, Christine is expert at all stages of women's health- menstruation, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause and beyond. She is passionate about helping her patients gain tools that allow them to live pain-free, radiantly healthy and fertile lives.

Christine earned her Masters Degree at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She interned at Shu Guang Hospital in Shanghai. Christine is a Diplomat of the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics (DNBAO) and earned a board specialty in Acupuncture Orthopedics with Lerner Education at Cedar Sinai Hospital in 2007. She has specialized in oriental reproductive medicine and has been a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine since 2010.

An avid, lifelong student, she is always learning more about natural medicine, which fuels her passion and excitement in optimizing patient care. On her time off, you can find her hiking the hills, splashing in rivers and cooking up healthy feasts.
