Double Happiness Health Grant Program
With our small grant program, our mission is to provide free individualized acupuncture and herbal medicine to underserved and or underprivileged women-identified people with a focus on diversity, young women and mothers. We are able to provide services to Spanish speakers as well as English speakers. Ten grantee’s per year receive a series of acupuncture sessions including one 90-minute initial visit with a customized treatment plan and a batch of one hour follow up visits. Depending on the needs of the grantee, supplements and nutritional guidance may be included.
We see young people as our future. Many amazing young women experience hormonal issues such as migraines, pms, painful or irregular cycles as well as other kinds of pain as well as digestive and mood challenges. As a team of seasoned, licensed acupuncturists who are specialized in women's health, we are uniquely positioned to listen to the needs of young women and offer effective care to help optimize their health. Specifically, we would like to help by offering holistic, research-based acupuncture treatment as well as education on self-care and nutrition that can empower women to live healthier lives.
We hope to optimize the health of the incredible women in our community who are not able to afford our services with acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and lifestyle coaching. Our goal is to provide supportive natural health care as well as to educate and empower women to attune to their bodies and care for themselves with simple healthy tools.
Some of the issues we work with are: irregular or painful menstruation, PMS, headaches, family planning, infertility, pregnancy and digestive issues like irritable bowel syndrome, constipation or bloating, as well as anxiety and depression, insomnia and chronic pain.

Our Double Happiness Health Grant recipient criteria:
Women or women-identified people or people with a uterus.
Applicants ages 18-26 who live in the SF Bay area.
Women who would like to work on their health but who are unable to afford our services. Applicants must earn under $50,000 per year to be eligible.
Applicants must be able, ready and willing to commit to being reliable and on-time for weekly appointments.
We encourage people of color to apply, although all are very welcome.
