Sarah Head

Sarah Head, L.Ac. is a French native born-and-raised in the Mediterranean area. She has been practicing acupuncture since 2005 in Mill Valley while also raising two now grown-up daughters. She graduated from ACCHS in 2001 with a Masters in Oriental Medicine. She has been practicing Qigong and various martial arts styles for over twenty years, is certified in the Heavenly essence Qigong tradition and has been teaching Qigong workshops since 2015.

She believes that physical symptoms or pathologies can be looked at as opportunities to discover the deeper imbalances in our internal energy networks. Especially in the case of recurring or complex patterns, treating the roots of problems allows us to make long lasting shifts towards better states of health.

In her acupuncture work, Sarah has seen patients with many types of issues around digestion, respiratory functions, sleep, pain management, women's health, emotional imbalances and more. She loves to study and expand her understanding of healing in general and Chinese Medicine. Her focus is always to treat the patient as a whole, with their particular needs and presentations, rather than the “disease”. In addition to Acupuncture and Herbs she uses many modalities such as nutrition, supplements, examining repetitive thought patterns, movement and relaxation practices and overall general lifestyle recommendations.

When not practicing, and studying, Sarah loves to swim, be around plants, make art or cook and eat tasty foods while enjoying the company of friends or family.
